NZ Tattoo & Art Festival

Volunteer

Become a volunteer in 2023

The NZ Tattoo & Art Festival, Australasia’s largest tattoo event is returning in 2023 for its 11th year.

NZ Tattoo & Art Festival volunteers are an important part of what makes our event special.  Becoming a volunteer is a great way to meet new people, get event experience and be at the centre of the action.

Volunteers can apply to work across a range of positions during the festival, from the set up, to ticketing, customer service, stencil room and general assistance.

All volunteers working over the festival weekend need to be available on Saturday the 25th & Sunday the 26th of November.  Pack in volunteers need to be available on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd of November.

How much time do I need to give?

2 full shifts over 2 days.

Weekend shift hours are generally 6 hours on Saturday, usually less on Sunday as the festival finishes earlier on this day.

Pack in hours can vary depending on how quickly set up is done.  (Volunteering for Pack in means you have the entire weekend to attend the festival).

What do I get in return for volunteering?

  • Volunteer experience at Australasia’s biggest tattoo event.
  • Weekend pass to attend the event for free (outside of your shift hours).
  • Official 2023 festival t.
  • Volunteer t (for volunteers working a Saturday/Sunday shift).
  • Passes to the official NZ Tattoo & Art Festival parties.
  • Meal allowance (based on working a full shift during the weekend or during pack in).

What happens once I sign up to volunteer?

After the volunteer application date has closed you will receive an email confirming your job role/hours for the weekend or an email thanking you for your application if we have had more volunteers than we need for the festival weekend.

You will need to attend a volunteer safety briefing prior to the festival, which is held on the Friday evening.

To register your interest please complete the following application form, including any relevant experience you may have and the roles you would like to be considered for. Applications close 25th October 2023. Successful applicants will be notified after the end of October 2023.
